Artist's Description

These famous pink birds can be found in warm, watery regions on many continents. They favor environments like estuaries and saline or alkaline lakes. The Greater Flamingo is also the National Bird of The Bahamas. This capture was made in 1981 at the Inagua National Park on the southernmost Island of Inagua, Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
